Privacy Policy

Data we collect

• Account data: your name and email address when you register or sign in with Google or ORCID, and your ORCID iD if provided.
• Submission data: the manuscript, author details and correspondence you provide when submitting.
• Technical data: limited server logs (such as IP address and browser type) needed to operate and secure the site.

We do not use advertising or third-party tracking, and we do not sell personal data.

How we use it

To operate the submission and peer-review workflow, communicate editorial decisions, publish accepted articles, maintain the scholarly record and secure the platform.

Legal basis

We process data to perform our service to you (managing your submission and account), to meet legitimate interests in running a scholarly journal, and to comply with legal obligations.

Third-party services

We use Google and ORCID for optional sign-in (you authenticate with them directly) and Google Cloud for hosting and file storage. These providers process data on our behalf under their own terms and appropriate safeguards.

Storage & security

Data is stored on Google Cloud infrastructure. Uploaded manuscripts are held in private storage and are downloadable only by the submitting author and the editorial team. Access is restricted and connections are encrypted (HTTPS).

Retention

Account and submission data are kept for as long as needed to manage the editorial record. Published articles form part of the permanent scholarly record. You may request deletion of your account data where it is not required for that record.
